Blocks 5 and 6 in the series:
These paper foundation pieced blocks for your knick knack shelves are a champagne glass and a small lamp. Finished sewn height of these blocks is meant to be 8 inches. The lamp block is narrower, but you can make it any width.
Knick Knack block 5: A Champagne Glass could be done with a lustrous fabric for extra sheen. An added suggestion is to add some little circles of a sheer blue fabric with appliqué to look like floating bubbles.

Knick Knack block 6: A Little Lamp to light your shelves. With an extra few running stitches in a dark floss and sewing on a small button you can add a little pull chain to your lamp as shown below in the sample block illustration. This block is meant to be a sewn size of 6 inches.
