Here's a duck block to applique for a child's quilt block. It's fun way to use up odd bits of bright fabrics. It can be any size (the sample is shown to be 8") - on the next page you'll see a larger diagram to help you see how to lay out the template pieces. You could add embroidered embellishments for more fun, too.
Print the templates and enlarge them a copy machine to the desired block size.
The little block you'll see in the corner of the templates and layout is a sizing block = 1" x 2" This will help you size the templates to make an 8" block.
