"Pinwheel" Block
BOM 7
a half square triangle block
November - BOM
#7
This "Pinwheel" block is listed in Barbara Brackman's Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt Patterns as block #1121 as a Ruth Finley block (and later as "Paper Pinwheels by Nancy Page). This is an easy block to make with the simple "add on triangle corner" method. I've shown a way to make the block without resorting to using 16 individual squares. No paper piecing is needed for this block.

for the Block
(no paper piecing this time - use half square
triangles or "quick corner triangle piecing")

using BOM#7 in many different colorations
